Zac co-founded DRINKS in 2013 with the intent to change the way wine is sold. Zac is a serial entrepreneur, and also the founder and CEO of Quiris, LLC, which develops technology platform-based businesses in digital advertising technology and e-commerce. Prior to DRINKS, Zac was the founder and CEO of Hydra, a performance-based, multichannel digital ad platform that delivered new sales, leads, and ad engagements for many of the largest and best-known consumer product and service companies. Launched in 2003 with a proprietary conversion tracking platform, Hydra reached annual revenues in excess of $100 million in less than 5 years, and ranked in the Top 10 of the INC 500 as early as 2007 before being acquired in 2010 by Adknowledge, the largest privately held digital marketplace. Prior to Hydra in 2003, Zac founded GreatUSAflags, an emarketer of patriotic products, including the official "Iraqi Most Wanted" playing cards that was covered in over 100 publications including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Time.
Zac has also been a partner in other successful ventures in the consumer goods and technology platform verticals, including providing the initial investment capital and serving on the Board of Dogswell, one of the fastest growing private pet food businesses, until a majority stake was acquired in 2008 by TSG Consumer Partners. Zac was also a partner and Board member at Teleparent, a technology provider of mass notification services to educational institutions, until its acquisition by Edline, LLC, a portfolio company of Providence Equity, in 2010. Zac has a dual B.A. in Economics-Accounting and Government from Claremont McKenna College.
