Satoko Kato

Satoko Kato is VP, General Counsel and CCO at NewRoad Capital Partners, where she is responsible for legal and compliance matters. Satoko previously served as Counsel at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York and Tokyo, where she focused on capital markets, including registered securities offerings and private placements in debt and equity, and SEC reporting and compliance. She is also experienced in antitrust government investigations and internal investigations. Immediately prior to joining NewRoad Capital Partners, Satoko was a visiting assistant professor at the University of Arkansas School of Law.
Satoko holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and an LLB from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.
