Biography

Matthew Waller is a Strategic Advisor at NewRoad Capital Partners. Matt has over 25 years of engagement in supply chain management and the retail value chain. He is the former Dean of the Sam M. Walton College of Business, a professor of Supply Chain Management and held the Sam M. Walton Leadership Chair in Business at the University of Arkansas. Prior to becoming Dean, Matt served as the Chair of the Department of Supply Chain Management and held the Garrison Endowed Chair in Supply Chain Management. Matt served as Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Business Logistics from 2011 to 2015.

Matt served on the Arkansas Governor’s Transformation Advisory Board, the Board of Advisors of the World Trade Center Arkansas, and the Board of Directors of the Rockefeller Institute. He was Co-Founder of Mercari Technologies.

Matt holds a BS in Economics from the University of Missouri, MS in Management Science from Pennsylvania State University and a PhD in Business Logistics from Pennsylvania State University.

My experience as Dean and Professor in the Sam M. Walton College of Business and my long-time advocacy for business and entrepreneurship in Northwest Arkansas, I firmly believe that entrepreneurial endeavors are the engine of wealth creation and economic fortitude in our region. Our consistent emphasis on fostering an entrepreneurial culture, evidenced by our investments, reflects this belief.
